Gingerbread.

For family night the kids decorated their own gingerbread men & women. They were all very creative with their designs. For dessert we had homemade warm gingerbread topped with whipped cream. We love Monday nights knowing that we are always together doing what is most important{family}.

{Ugly} Christmas Sweater Party

Sabrina|Natasha|Paige|Taylor|Sarah|Katie

Paige wanted to have a Christmas party with her friends this year so she decided it would be fun to wear ugly Christmas sweaters. We brought out the disco ball so they could have a dance party, they all exchanged gifts, played lots of games, and ate dinner and goodies. Luke wanted to join in the fun so Paige told him he could come if he wore an ugly sweater. He had so much fun showing off for all the cute girls at the party.

Thanksgiving {Week}

Thanksgiving dinner...we had more food then we could ever eat

Ty preparing the lobsters that he brought from his dive in Del Mar...Yummy!!!

Turkeys running around in my parents backyard, the kids loved watching them!

Mimi making homemade chicken noodle soup with her grandkids

Ty took his boys shooting at Sly Park for the day

The boys finally convienced Ty to go on a ride with them...20 miles to be exact.

Papa with his cute grandkids

Cody & Chris both forgot their belts so they went in Mimi's closet and found some scarf's to wear as belts

We spent the entire Thanksgiving week up in Granite Bay. We had 14 adults and 16 kids with us the whole week. We all had so much fun being together even though at times it was very chaotic. All it seemed like we did was cook and then clean even though it never looked like it. The highlight of the trip for the kiddos was going to visit uncle Bones (my mom's brother) at the fire station he works at. The kids rode in the fire truck, tried on a fireman's uniform, squirted water out of massive hoses, and took a tour of the firehouse. We also celebrated Lucy's 1st birthday and Joe's birthday at Mikuni"s. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving vacation with the family. Thanks Mom & Dad for putting up with all of us, you are the BEST!!!

Each kid brought a goldfish home with them...hopefully they are all still alive and doing well

For Trey's 7th birthday he wanted to invite a lot of friends and have a Carnival Party, so we made it happen. We had many games including fish frenzy, bean bag toss, tic tac toe, ring toss, and a football throw through a hula hoop. All the kids enjoyed cotton candy, popcorn and animal cookies, I'm pretty sure they all went home with a little sugar high. Despite the wind we had a successful carnival party!

{CaRvInG} Pumpkins

For family home evening we carved all our pumpkins in the backyard. The kids had fun deciding what they wanted their pumpkins to look like. I loved Paige's idea she carved a big P with hearts...very girly. Cody designed a bat on his pumpkin, Trey had his dad help him make a skull and cross bones & Luke made a funny face. All the pumpkins were very unique and fit their personalities. We can't wait to lite them on HaLlOwEeN!

PuMpKiN PaTcH

The end of October is approaching and we ran out of time to make it out to our favorite pumpkin patch...Bates Nut Farm. The kids were looking forward to picking pumpkins, so we decided to take them to a local pumpkin patch in Encinitas. It was definitely a let down but overall the kids enjoyed themselves. It was slim pickings for pumpkins so we decided to take the kids to Trader Joes to pick out the perfect carving pumpkins.
