Happy Happy Birthday, we have had 7 FANTASTIC years!!! Trey has a very fun & outgoing personality. He knows how to make his family laugh, he always has the biggest grin on his face even when he is doing wrong. I really can't get mad at this kid when he flashes you that BIG smile. You have brought so much joy into our life's, Trey we love you so much. Happy 7th Birthday!
All the party stuff before the wind got to everything
Each kid brought a goldfish home with them...hopefully they are all still alive and doing well
We had to pretend the candles were lit, it was to windy to lite them

For Trey's 7th birthday he wanted to invite a lot of friends and have a Carnival Party, so we made it happen. We had many games including fish frenzy, bean bag toss, tic tac toe, ring toss, and a football throw through a hula hoop. All the kids enjoyed cotton candy, popcorn and animal cookies, I'm pretty sure they all went home with a little sugar high. Despite the wind we had a successful carnival party!
For family home evening we carved all our pumpkins in the backyard. The kids had fun deciding what they wanted their pumpkins to look like. I loved Paige's idea she carved a big P with hearts...very girly. Cody designed a bat on his pumpkin, Trey had his dad help him make a skull and cross bones & Luke made a funny face. All the pumpkins were very unique and fit their personalities. We can't wait to lite them on HaLlOwEeN!
The end of October is approaching and we ran out of time to make it out to our favorite pumpkin patch...Bates Nut Farm. The kids were looking forward to picking pumpkins, so we decided to take them to a local pumpkin patch in Encinitas. It was definitely a let down but overall the kids enjoyed themselves. It was slim pickings for pumpkins so we decided to take the kids to Trader Joes to pick out the perfect carving pumpkins.
BYU came to Qualcom stadium to play San Diego state. We took the boys to see their first ever BYU football game. They all had a great time with there cousins and eating lots and lots of junk food and of course watching football. It was great to see friends that we hadn't seen in awhile. Seeing BYU play brought back memories of when Ty was attending BYU and we would go to the games together when we were much younger. Oh how I miss the old days back in Provo but don't ever want to repeat those days. We are so HAPPY where we are!!! After a long HOT game BYU won!

Thanks for sharing this special day with us! Jevin you gave Lyla the most beautiful blessing. Lyla you are a BeAuTiFuL little girl, please always stay that way. We love your little family so much!!!
For Paige's birthday party she planned to have 4 girls go shopping at the Irvine Spectrum. We gave each girl a little purse filled with goodies and money. The girls went from store to store until they found the perfect items to buy. They shopped and shopped until their money was all spent. We then ate at Cheesecake Factory for lunch and then off to ride the Ferris Wheel. I had a FaBuLoUs day just being with the girls doing what we do best {shopping}
Cody was honored at school today for being "Citizen of the week" in Ms. Lam's class. The certificate read you soared this week, thank you for your HONESTY. Cody be Honest in all you do and you will succeed. We are so proud of you!!!
One of our all time favorite ice cream stops is Thrifty. Paige loves the pistachio and choc. malted crunch, Cody & Trey love rainbow sherbet and Luke likes strawberry. I remember as a child I loved to go to thrifty to get ice cream and ice cold water out of the drinking fountain so I am passing the tradition down to my kids. When ever they see a Rite Aid with thrifty ice cream in the window we always stop, it makes for the perfect day!!!
"You will have significant experiences. I hope you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."
~Gordon B. Hinckley
